If you have been attracted by a template for Joomla installed on any site, but you don’t know what template is it, or where you can get it, now it is not a problem. With Internet Explorer plug-in - SaveJoomlaTemplate 1.0.1, it is possible to keep the template which you like on a local computer.
How it works: For the beginning, download archive! Before extracting archive, switch-off the anti-virus program if any is available on your computer. Unpack archive in any folder on your hard drive. Run SaveJoomlaTemplate.hta, a window informing, that the file is imported, will appear on the screen. Now open the site in Internet Explorer on which Joomla template you like is installed and press the right button of the mouse. Choose item “ Save Joomla Template ” in the appeared context menu and wait a little. After a while the following window will appear on the screen.
It means that the template is successfully saved in \My Documents\Joomla Templates\ folder. Program Limitations:
Does not keep the initial code of PHP-files. The first page of the site is kept as index.html. The current page is kept as page.html. PHP-files should be reconstructed manually, using html-and php-files which are kept with a script. To remove extension simply run SaveJoomlaTemplate.hta file once again. Tested on IE6.
